An easy, but not the cheapest option is to book a private taxi. The driver will pick you up in Medan City (e.g. Hotel or Train Station) or direct at the Airport Kuala Namu and brings you direct to Ketambe within about 8 to9 hours. Its an air-conditioned car with 6 seats. You pay for the taxi, independent how many people go. Price is 1000,000 IDR from Medan City or 1,200,000 IDR from the airport. If you want to book the private taxi from Medan airport please let me know the details of your arriving flight (scheduled arrival time, flight number). The taxi driver will wait at the domestic or international arrival area holding a sign with your name.
